PACCT was created in 2019 as a response to the announcement of the Ontario Line. East York residents who live north of Danforth Ave and along Pape Ave has serious concerns regarding the proposed plans for the Ontario Line, including: rumoured locations of the subway stations, location of the Don River bridge, expropriation of multiple 100-year-old homes for construction purposes, noise during construction, vibration and noise reduction caused by trains.
The goal of PACCT is to listen to local residents’ concerns and to be able to meet with Metrolinx and all levels of government to ensure that concerns are heard and considered during the planning stages, construction and during the Ontario Line operation.
